RENTALS TERMS & INSURANCES

MEANS OF PAYMENT:
In cash at our store at the beginning of the rental or via credit card

DRIVER’S AGE:
For categories A, B and moto-scooter the minimum age is 21 years plus (2) years of experience from the acquisition of the driving license.
For category C, the minimum age is 23 years plus two (2) years of experience from the acquisition of the driving license.
For all other categories, the minimum age is 25 years. Driving licenses should be Greek, European (for EU countries) or International (for non-EU countries).

NON – CREDIT CARD:
You can rent a vehicle without a credit card. In that case, you must buy the FDW full insurance and you must give a warranty amount of 250 €. The warranty amount is refunded at the end of the rental, unless if any additional charges occur (eg damages that are not covered from the full insurance or fuel cost).

CREDIT CARD:
Our Company requires your credit card details as a guarantee for the rental of your vehicle. For this reason, we may need to ask for your credit card’s certification (i.e. pre-approval).

WARRANTY:
Upon receipt of the vehicle, our company has the right (in special cases) to debit your credit card a warranty amount of 250 €. The warranty amount is refunded at the end of the rental, unless if any additional charges occur (eg damages that are not covered from the full insurance or fuel cost). Our company has the right to release the amount of the guarantee within fifteen (15) days of the end of the vehicle rental.

GRACE PERIOD: 
After the agreed lease expires, AUTOLAND allows the renter a grace period of up to 29 minutes for the car to be returned, at no charge. Upon expiration of the above grace period, the tenant is charged at least for the cost of an extra day.

ADDITIONAL DRIVER:  Second driver is free of charge.

CHARGE FOR DELIVERY AT AIRPORT:  Free of charge.

CHARGE FOR DELIVERY OUTSITE BUISNES HOURS: € 20 upon agreement with our office.

FUEL POLICY: Fuel is paid by the Renter.

FUEL SERVICE CHARGE:
If the vehicle on return does not have the same amount of fuel at the time of pickup, there is a charge of ten (10) euros, plus the cost of the fuel consumed. If the vehicle is picked up from the place of residence (e.g. hotel) and in the event of a refusal to refuel, this amount will be withheld from your credit card.

CHILD SEATS: Free of charge, available only after booking.

CHANGES OF CAR TYPE:
The company reserves the right, depending on availability, to provide a different type of car than the one stated in the original booking, from an equivalent or higher category.

CHANGE OF BOOKING:
Rescheduling also involves recalculation of the price, according to the availability of vehicles, the prices applying at that time, the station of return, etc.

CANCELLATION OR NON-APPEARANCE:
In prepaid reservations there is no charge if the cancellation is made up to 10 days before the start of the rental. Otherwise, the amount of the deposit is withheld. In case of no-show at the time of pick-up, the deposit is also withheld.

EΑRLIER RETURN:
In case of return of the car earlier than the date shown in the booking, the customer will be charged for the days of use of the vehicle and plus VAT.

TRANSPORT BY SHIP: Not allowed.

OUT OF BORDER LEASE: Not allowed.

INFRINGEMENTS: All fines and consequences of administrative penalties are borne by the lessee.
ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE: 24-hour service is provided through the AUTOLAND rental company.
 
INSURANCE POLICY
All AUTOLAND Authorized Vehicle Drivers are exempt for damage to the rental car from fire and theft.

MIXED SECURITY WITH EXEMPTION (CDW):

Coverage description: 

• Personal driver accident
  • Body injuries per victim
  • Care at the scene of the accident
  • Material damage to third parties per accident
  • Material damage from an uninsured vehicle

The liability of the lessee for damage to the rental vehicle may be limited, provided that the traffic code is not violated, to the minimum charge of:
– A, B class: €350
– C, D class: €450
– OPEN TOP class: €450
– 4X4: €700

This insurance does not cover:
-Immobilization allowance (for lost profits during vehicle repair)
-Travel costs that may result from damage or accident.
-Expenditure in the event of a key loss.

ACCIDENT FILE EXPENSES:
The driver is charged €15 in case of an accident due to their fault. This amount is not refundable.

FULL PROTECTION SAFETY (FDW)
Coverage description:
• Full insurance FDW (No self – risk)
• Personal driver accident
• Body injuries per victim
• Care at the scene of the accident
• Material damage to third parties per accident
• Material damage from an uninsured vehicle

Furthermore:
-Assessment of immobilization allowance (for lost profits during vehicle repair)
-Travel of towing expenses as a result of a breakdown or accident.

ACCIDENT FILE EXPENSES:
The driver is charged €15 in case of an accident due to their fault. This amount is not refundable.

Note: Renters can purchase full security if they are between 25 and 75 years of age.

WHAT SAFETY DOES NOT COVER! 
Driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, abnormal use of the vehicle, STOP sign violation, traffic light violation, traffic code violation, damage to the bottom or to the wheels and tires of the vehicle, driving  off-road (the Jeep is an exception)  any service not approved by our Company , cleaning , damage to the interior of the car (unless caused by a collision), damage / loss of child seats, GPS devices, damage, destruction or loss of a key, driving by another driver not registered in the lease.

AFTER RENTING 
If you have a charge, such as an over-speed call or unpaid congestion charges, the car hire company will try to contact you when the authorities request the name of the driver. This can happen months after the rental and you will need to pay the management fees and the initial charge.

TERMS OF RENT MOTO-SCOOTER

• AUTOLAND requires your credit card details to guarantee your vehicle rental. For this reason, we may need to ask for your credit card’s certification (i.e. pre-approval). In order to protect and encrypt your credit card information, when transferring it to us, we use the standard data exchange technology provided by the Bank which charges the card for our services.

WARRANTY:

• Upon receipt of the vehicle, AUTOLAND has the right to debit your credit card a guarantee amount of € 350, which is refunded at the end of the lease, provided that no other charges (eg due to wear or not refueling). AUTOLAND has the right to release the amount of the guarantee within fifteen (15) days of the end of the vehicle rental.

• – For scooters 50cc the minimum age is 21 years plus one (1) year of experience from the acquisition of the driving license.

• – For scooters 125cc the minimum age is 23 years plus two (2) years of experience from the acquisition of the driving license.- Driving licenses may be Greek, European (for EU countries) or International (for non-EU countries).

DRIVING LICENSE:
To rent a scooter you must be Class A, A1, M or AM-certified, and have at least one (1) year of experience since obtaining the driving license.

This insurance does not cover:
Immobilization allowance (for lost profits during vehicle repair).
Towing costs that may result from damage or accident.
Expenses in case of key loss.
Wear or damage to helmet and / or top case.
